The Escuela Técnica de Joyería del Atlántico, based in Vigo, consolidates itself each year as one of the main centres for artistic jewellery training in Spain and one of the best with international projection for its students. With more than two decades of experience, this private institution offers jewellery studies approved by the Ministry of Education, focused on artisanal excellence, innovation, and employability. It also offers subsidised professional certificates for jewellery repair approved by the Ministry of Labour of the Government of Spain.
In addition to its commitment to rigorous and personalised technical training, the school stands out for its Erasmus+ programme, thanks to which its students can undertake professional internships for 4 to 6 months in high-end jewellery companies in the European Union, mainly in countries such as France, Italy, or Portugal. This international experience allows young people to apply their knowledge, integrate into real work environments, and grow personally and professionally.
Each year, unique jewellery designed and handcrafted by students emerges from its workshops, fusing goldsmith tradition with contemporary design. Many of their creations have been selected for national and international fairs, competitions, and exhibitions.
The Escuela Técnica de Joyería del Atlántico also actively participates in educational initiatives in the coastal city of Vigo, such as the Fair of Artistic, Professional, and University Studies of Vigo, where it showcases training with great professional and creative potential. The school's constant collaboration with various entities in the city ensures its visibility through artisanal and artistic works in different forums and/or events that take place annually. This integration allows its students to become part of the city's life, not only educationally but also in terms of traditions and activities.
The school constantly pursues a practical and personalised approach, as each student is unique and unrepeatable; therefore, each learns at their own pace in the workshops. From the first day at the centre, students create their designs and develop them artisanally at their own pace, always striving for continuous learning to internalise all processes naturally.
The school's philosophy is "Jewellery as an educational and inclusion tool in the 21st century". Therefore, it works with its students' multiple intelligences, key competencies, and with a focus on AGENDA 2030. Another of its strengths is that students travel from different parts of the world, fostering a multicultural and intergenerational environment. This translates into a wide variety of references that will accompany them throughout their lives.
In the last decade, the school, founded in 2001, has been considered a national benchmark in craftsmanship and a "breeding ground" for major European luxury multinationals seeking talent at this school located in northwestern Spain. This is possible thanks to a clear synergy between the school and companies.
