The initiative, involving the Rural Development Groups (GDR) Costa da Morte, Terras de Compostela, Asdecomor, Adercou, Sil Bibei Navea, and Miño Ulla, seeks to strengthen synergies between local production, collective food systems, food education, sustainability, and cultural heritage.
The project's main focus is the preservation of intangible heritage through the documentation and recovery of traditional recipes and techniques, combined with enhancing the visibility of local producers and promoting the consumption of proximity products (km 0). It also fosters socio-economic development and sustainable tourism to help retain population in the area.
The first participatory meetings, conferences, and workshops are already scheduled in territories such as Sil Bibei Navea, Miño Ulla, and Adercou, bringing together producers, hospitality professionals, and residents.
This action is supported by the Xunta de Galicia and co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD) through the Strategic Plan of the CAP 2023-2027 (PEPAC), the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, and the LEADER strategy.
