More than 200 athletes of all ages will participate in the 12th edition of the Valdoviño Urban Mile, taking place this Sunday, October 18th, around the Frouxeira beach and lagoon.

The event, organized by the Department of Sports, has broken participation records, doubling last year's numbers. The Councilor for Sports, Sergio Saavedra, highlighted that the absolute category will have over a hundred athletes, while the 'biberón' (toddler) category will have around fifty participants.
The race will be held along the promenade of Frouxeira beach and lagoon, with distances adapted to each category and staggered starts from 11:00 AM. Registration, which closed yesterday free of charge, will allow participants to collect their bibs at the information point next to the lifeguard station from 10:00 AM.
All children in the 'biberón' category will receive a medal, as will the top three finishers in all other categories.
