The Conselleira do Mar, Marta Villaverde, highlighted in Vigo the perfect alliance between tradition and avant-garde in gastronomy during the awards ceremony for the third edition of 'Conxemar Tapas', where Taberna Rabuda emerged as the winner.

The Conselleira do Mar, Marta Villaverde, participated in the awards ceremony for the third edition of 'Conxemar Tapas', a gastronomic initiative that took place over two weeks in Vigo. 21 hospitality establishments from the city participated in the contest, creating tapas based on frozen fish and seafood. Taberna Rabuda claimed the final victory.
The event, held as part of the international frozen seafood products fair, was attended by the president of the sectoral entity, Eloy García. During the ceremony, live cooking and a final tasting of the three finalist proposals were carried out by a professional jury composed of Michelin-starred chefs Pepe Solla, Begoña Rodrigo, and Inés Abril.
Villaverde emphasized that this event is a good exponent of the union between tradition, represented by the quality of seafood, and the avant-garde of transformation techniques and gastronomic proposals. She also praised the creativity of local hospitality professionals in working with Atlantic flavors and demonstrating the versatility of marine products, as well as promoting healthy and sustainable consumption.
The 'Conxemar Tapas 2026' gastronomic route combined popular votes from citizens with the technical evaluation of an expert jury. The winning establishments received cash prizes and the opportunity to cook at the next edition of the international frozen seafood products fair.
