The Mos City Council now has a new mobile clean point in Rebullón, a service that will facilitate the selective collection of special waste and improve domestic waste management.

This new module, which received a grant of nearly 10,000 euros from the Consellería de Medio Ambiente e Cambio Climático, has at least nine collection openings with adapted internal collectors for different waste fractions. These include small coffee capsules, electrical and electronic appliances, textiles, and used cooking oils.
The initiative is part of the aid program from the Xunta de Galicia to increase eco-efficiency in municipal waste management, co-financed by the European Union through the Galicia Feder 2021-2027 program. The objective is to facilitate selective collection and ensure proper treatment of these materials, preventing them from ending up in conventional bins.
The incorporation of this equipment coincides with the renewal of the Bandeira Verde de Galicia by the Mos City Council, which has obtained this distinction for the second consecutive year. Mos is among the 39 Galician municipalities recognized in the 2026 edition of this award.
With this new service, Mos expands its resources for selective collection and strengthens its actions aimed at sustainability and environmental protection.
