The selection followed the program's Demo Day, where eight companies presented their proposals to representatives from investment funds specializing in the health sector. TraffikGene develops at CiQUS a technological platform based on peptide transporters for the targeted delivery of nucleic acid-based therapies, optimizing their properties through a patented chemical technology.
The selection is notable due to the high level of participation, with over 235 applications in health innovation. BStartup Health, in its ninth edition, supports emerging companies in their early stages, facilitating investment and access to specialized networks. Since its launch, it has boosted more than twenty biomedical business initiatives.
TraffikGene's presence among the finalists represents recognition for the knowledge transfer potential generated at CiQUS, a center with the María de Maeztu seal and the CIGUS recognition from the Xunta de Galicia. This selection makes TraffikGene eligible to receive investment from Sabadell Venture Capital.
