Published on the Xunta's Public Contracts Portal, the objective of this contract is to ensure an efficient, orderly, and safe execution of all activities required for the transfer and commissioning of the new public hospital in Pontevedra. The contract includes defining the procedure for moving furniture and equipment, as well as providing technical assistance and support for the reception of new acquisitions.
The service provider must conduct a preliminary inventory and space management, identifying the physical location of each item within the different services and areas. Critical equipment and potential phased relocation logistics will also be assessed.
A detailed execution sequence with a timeline representing all necessary phases will be established, along with the configuration of multidisciplinary work teams. Planning for the reception of patients and staff at the new center, and the simultaneous operation of services when needed, is also foreseen.
A specific plan for the management, transfer, and protection of confidential hospital documentation, in compliance with current regulations, will be developed. Procedures for the correct management, storage, and disposal of waste generated during the relocation will also be defined.
The execution period is nine months: five for planning, one for supervision and plan approval by the monitoring unit, and three for the physical relocation. Radiotherapy will be the first service to become operational. For the construction and equipment of the New Montecelo, the Xunta's budget for 2027 is €55.2 million, including €11 million for completing construction and tendering the cafeteria and parking, €38 million for final equipment, and €5.7 million for ICT equipment.
