The Xunta de Galicia will hold an electronic public auction in Ourense on December 17th to sell 31 timber lots, with a total value exceeding 1.7 million euros.

The Consellería do Medio Rural, through the Xunta's Territorial Delegation in Ourense, is announcing this auction where 31 timber lots will be offered for sale. Of these, 22 have PEFC certification and 4 have dual PEFC and FSC certification, both endorsing sustainable forest management.
Bidders must submit their economic offers electronically through the Xunta's electronic headquarters. To facilitate the process, they will have access to a digital platform and a web mapping viewer to consult lot characteristics and download their boundaries.
The total volume of timber exceeds 61,000 cubic meters, and the sale will be conducted under the terms of 'at buyer's risk and venture' and 'final settlement results'. Forest certification ensures timber traceability and environmental respect, while also fulfilling ecological, economic, and social functions.
