The Conselleira of Social Policy and Equality, Fabiola García, held two meetings this morning with the mayors of Outes, Francisco Calo, and Porto do Son, Luís Oujo, within the framework of the new residences project promoted by the Xunta de Galicia.
The conselleira visited the Town Hall of Outes, where the mayor informed her of the progress made in selecting land for the new residence. She later moved to Porto do Son, where the mayor showed her the chosen plot in the parish of Nebra, near the day center.
After the visits, Fabiola García highlighted that this project "the Xunta consolidates care for the elderly, with the promotion of 300 new residential places", referring to the future centers planned in Outes, Porto do Son, and Ribeira.
Regarding the senior residence planned in Ribeira, the conselleira recalled that the future center will have 100 places and that the City Council and the Xunta are already finalizing the procedures for the transfer of the plot.
