The project involves implementing a single platform model to provide more space for pedestrians and improve the accessibility of the surroundings, in addition to modernizing rainwater, sewage, and telecommunications networks.
The intervention, which lasted several months, included the renovation of existing underground services and installations, with work on sewage and rainwater networks, as well as municipal and telecommunications pipelines.
“"There was a neighborhood demand to change the aesthetic of this street, which now features granite paving and a single platform. The street was closed or partially closed during the months the works lasted, but as of this week it is open to traffic."
On the surface, the renovation allowed for the continuation of the section already conditioned by the execution of a single platform with granite slab paving, eliminating the level difference between the roadway and sidewalks. This way, continuity was given to the existing solution in the area, improving accessibility and pedestrian mobility on Mantelería.
Furthermore, the pavement renovation was used to also modernize the service networks, reducing the need for future interventions on a recently conditioned surface.
