The Soutomaior City Council has launched its new municipal Study Room, located at the Old Romariz School on Rúa Romariz. This space is designed to provide residents with a suitable place for study and training, featuring 18 study desks and Wi-Fi connectivity. The room maintains extended opening hours, from 7:00 AM to 1:00 AM, seven days a week, 365 days a year.
The facility also includes a rest area and independent access, aiming to offer a comfortable environment adapted to users' needs. The mayor, Manu Lourenzo, highlighted that this service addresses the demand from young people and individuals requiring a quiet space to prepare for exams, academic assignments, or competitive examinations, regardless of their schedules.
The service is intended for individuals registered in Soutomaior aged 16 and over who are undertaking formal or informal studies. For minors, authorization from a legal guardian is required. Access to the room is granted via a personal and non-transferable code, provided by the City Council upon approval of the application.
Interested individuals must submit their application through the municipal electronic headquarters, attaching the relevant form, a supplementary declaration of usage rules, and a copy of their ID. The application period is open year-round and can be submitted online or in person at the General Registry of the City Hall.
