The Mos City Council has received the Bandeira Verde de Galicia for the second consecutive year, an award from the Xunta that recognizes municipal commitment to landscape protection and the environment.

Mos is among the 39 Galician municipalities awarded in the 2026 call, which saw a record number of applications and distinctions. This recognition values the measures implemented by municipalities for territorial planning, natural heritage conservation, CO₂ emission reduction, energy efficiency, and responsible waste management.
The presentation of the awards took place this Wednesday, October 21, at an event held in Vedra, with the participation of the Minister of Environment and Climate Change, Ángeles Vázquez.
With this new award, Mos reaffirms its commitment to environmental sustainability and landscape conservation at the regional level.
