The director of the Galician Agency for Food Quality (AGACAL), Martín Alemparte, presented today the 2nd Galician Organic Meeting, which will take place on October 17th in Parga, Guitiriz, to promote the consumption of Galician organic products.

The Ministry of Rural Affairs, through the Galician Agency for Food Quality (AGACAL), is reinforcing its support for Galician organic farming by promoting the 2nd Galician Organic Meeting. The event, organized by PROECOGAL, will be held on October 17th at the Campo da Feira de Parga, in Guitiriz.
This initiative aims to give visibility to organic producers, bring their products closer to consumers, and foster new commercialization opportunities and value generation in rural Galicia.
The event will feature stalls selling organic products, workshops, educational activities, gastronomic demonstrations, and musical performances, as well as prize draws.
Rural Affairs highlights the importance of organic farming as part of Galicia's strategy to promote differentiated quality, alongside its designations of origin, protected geographical indications, and food crafts, under the brand Aquí Sabemos.
The role of certification by the Galician Council for Organic Agriculture (CRAEGA) is also emphasized, ensuring compliance with organic production requirements and offering consumer confidence.
The Xunta reminds that choosing Galician organic products also means supporting local producers, contributing to economic activity, and favoring the maintenance of the rural population.
