The Xunta de Galicia is allocating nearly €274,000 to 97 entities to promote and commercialize Galician crafts, according to the resolution published today in the Official Gazette of Galicia.

A total of 90 workshops registered in the General Registry of Galician Crafts, two professional and business associations of artisans, and five municipalities will benefit from this 2026 call. The aim is to boost the artisan sector, recognized for its territorial dynamism, job creation, and population retention, especially in rural areas.
The grants are aimed at supporting the organization and participation in craft fairs and commercialization events, both within the Autonomous Community and at the state or international level. This seeks to consolidate Galician artisanal activities, which encompass a wide range of trades and respond to current market demands.
For artisan workshops, the contributions cover expenses such as exhibition space rental, insurance, mandatory basic services, translation, and transport of materials. For municipalities and associations, the subsidies are for organizing fairs and events that showcase different crafts and increase sales, covering infrastructure, fair services, and advertising costs.
Municipal grants can be for monographic fairs, focused on a single traditional craft, or non-monographic fairs, which include various crafts.
