Xunta de Galicia · 2026-11-04

The Minister of Economy and Industry, María Jesús Lorenzana, recalled today the importance of more flexible electricity planning so that new industrial demand does not have to wait years for updates.

In response to an oral question in the Plenary Session of Parliament, Lorenzana pointed out that this flexibility is important so that “when a project arrives, it does not have to wait for the next planning cycle, but rather it can accommodate the needs of industry and the territory”. In this regard, she also advocated for it to be aligned with the development of industrial land in each autonomous community.
