The Xunta de Galicia has extended the deadline to November 13 for 250 educational centers to join the Circular School program, aimed at fostering the circular economy among students aged 7 to 12 during the 2026-2027 academic year.

The program seeks to educate, raise awareness, and involve the Galician school community in the circular economy and waste management improvement, promoting responsible habits among students, teachers, and families.
It will include practical training workshops, pedagogical support for teachers with specific materials, and the creation of an Escola EcoCircular (EcoCircular School) distinction to recognize good practices. Digital resources and an online forum for proposal exchange will also be promoted.
Participating schools will be able to download didactic materials and register through the program's official website.
Additionally, the Misión Circular (Circular Mission) contest will be launched, awarding 5,000, 2,500, and 1,500 euros to the most innovative and creative ideas proposed by schools to apply circular economy principles in their daily lives.
