Femxa gives voice to the impact of training through "Your Story Counts"

At Femxa, we help people improve their job opportunities through training, whether to update knowledge, accredit their experience, or start a new professional phase. We are distinguished by a close and practical approach, connected to real situations and the needs of each person throughout their professional journey.

Training takes on a particularly valuable dimension when what has been learned finds its place in people's professional lives. Sometimes this learning accompanies the start of a new career phase; on other occasions, it allows for updating knowledge, boosting a personal project, or accrediting experience built up over the years. In all these situations, behind each training process, there is a person with their own circumstances, expectations, and path.
From this reality, "Your Story Counts" was born, an initiative by Femxa that collects the voices of people who have participated in its programs and offers them a space to explain the role training has played in their careers. Through their experiences, concepts such as employability, professional development, or lifelong learning take shape in concrete stories and allow us to understand how training integrates into very different moments of professional life.
This journey can begin, for example, at the age of 56 and from a rural setting. This is the case of Susana Breso, who found in training a way to broaden her professional possibilities while continuing to work as an administrative assistant. Her experience has allowed her to incorporate new knowledge into an already consolidated career and prepare to combine her current activity with online teaching, opening a new professional phase linked to a lifestyle she had chosen to maintain.
For Stiven García, learning accompanied a change of direction that began after his time in the army. His entry into the hospitality sector led him to continue training in maintenance and electricity, expanding and accrediting skills that he could directly transfer to his work and which ultimately became part of his professional evolution, leading him to take on new responsibilities within the sector.
Experience accumulated over years can also find in training a way to gain professional recognition. Mina Ouacham had developed her career in caring for people and, through a professional certificate and internships in a care home, was able to accredit her skills and access a stable job opportunity in the social services field.
In Priscila Villaverde's story, training was linked to the beginning of a new phase after her arrival in Spain from Brazil. Her decision to orient her future towards the administrative field led her to acquire specific knowledge, participate in company internships, and advance in that process with preparation that allowed her to approach the sector in which she wanted to develop professionally.
The experiences of Susana, Stiven, Mina, and Priscila show how learning can be integrated into very diverse careers, ages, and circumstances, accompanying both evolution within a profession and the acquisition of new skills, recognition of experience, or the start of a new career path. In each of them, training makes sense when it connects with a specific goal and becomes part of the decisions each person makes about their future.
Through "Your Story Counts," Femxa translates its purpose into the experiences of those who train and turns their voices into a way of bringing the value of learning closer from a human perspective. Each testimony incorporates a personal journey into a space that continues to grow and reflects how training can accompany people throughout their professional lives.
