Individuals born in 2008 or later, who are registered residents in a municipality within the province of Ourense at the time of the call's publication, are eligible to apply for this aid.
The aid consists of the delivery of one book per beneficiary, with a maximum value of 20 euros (VAT included). If the chosen book exceeds this price, the difference must be paid by the applicant. Textbooks, school supplies, and periodicals are not included.
Books can be purchased from October 15th to December 18th, 2026. Applications are submitted through the website https://plandelectura.depourense.gal, where a personal alphanumeric code will be sent to the provided email or phone number for presentation at participating establishments.
A list of participating bookstores and establishments is available at https://plandelectura.depourense.gal/establecementos. The Provincial Council of Ourense has set up a specific form to address any queries or issues.
The Toén Town Council encourages families in the municipality to take advantage of this initiative to support and promote reading.
