The Xunta de Galicia has granted conditional environmental approval for the installation of a new tourist camp in the parish of Cruces, Padrón.

The resolution from the Consellería de Medio Ambiente e Cambio Climático does not foresee significant environmental impacts, provided that the conditions set in the environmental report and evaluated documentation are met.
The facilities will occupy an area of 5,460 m2 and will consist of six two-person bungalows and a service module with restrooms, reception, laundry, and a shop for essential goods.
The project, located in the parish of Cruces, also includes land conditioning and interior urbanization works, such as paths, a perimeter internal road, and a parking area with 16 marked spaces with LED beacons and drainage pavement.
The environmental impact assessment (IIA) was prepared under a simplified procedure, with no public objections received and after consulting 10 bodies.
The assessments consider the project viable, provided that conditions related to the protection of the atmosphere, population and health; waters and riverbeds; soil and infrastructure; fauna and natural values; cultural heritage; landscape integration and restoration; and waste management are met.
The resolution has been sent to the Axencia de Turismo de Galicia and is now being made public in the Diario Oficial de Galicia (DOG). The developer, Wayrest Hospitality & Estates, SL, must obtain all necessary authorizations and licenses to proceed with the project.
