O Concello de Lugo e a Asociación Provincial de Taxistas acordaron a creación de catro novas licenzas permanentes de taxi adaptado e avanzaron na extensión do servizo a demanda a parroquias rurais.

The meeting, chaired by the mayor, Elena Candia, and the Councilor for Mobility and Works, Antonio Ameijide, also addressed new formulas to improve night transport in the municipality.
The main objective of creating these four licenses is to expand the transport offer for people with reduced mobility needs.
Furthermore, the City Council is advancing in the progressive implementation of the on-demand taxi service in the rural parishes of Orbazai, Adai, and Meilán, with the ultimate goal of covering the entire rural territory of the municipality. Currently, this service is already operational in Carballido and Labio.
During the meeting, other options to address mobility needs during the night were also studied.
