The meeting, held today, marks the start of a series of encounters by the Xunta de Galicia in all metropolitan transport areas, aiming to evaluate the plans' operation and analyze service evolution alongside the municipalities. The meeting in Lugo is the first in a series scheduled until the end of the year.
Prior to the meeting, municipalities received a report on the current service offerings in each town to facilitate the analysis of the transport situation in the Lugo area. The possibility of introducing changes and modifications to align the offerings with citizens' evolving needs was also discussed.
The ATM Lugo monitoring commission includes the municipalities of Baleira, Lugo, Friol, Outeiro de Rei, Rábade, Guntín, Castroverde, O Corgo, and Castro de Rei. These municipalities are connected by a network of services that facilitate daily travel to the provincial capital and between the municipalities within the area.
Before the end of the year, monitoring commissions for the metropolitan transport areas of Santiago de Compostela, Ferrol, A Coruña, and Vigo will also be convened.
