The territorial delegate of the Xunta in Lugo, Alfonso Villares, met with the board of CD Lugo and the contracting company to assess the progress of the Anxo Carro stadium renovation works, which are advancing as planned.

The works on the north and west stands of the Anxo Carro stadium are practically finished. In the new fixed stand in the south area, only some finishing touches on the electrical installation remain, while in the east area, work on the bathrooms, bar, and other common spaces is advancing, before the roof replacement is undertaken.
It was also explained that the expansion of the stairs and corridors to improve safety and accessibility throughout the sports complex has been completed. The final phase of the works, scheduled for early next year, will include painting the facilities and replacing the current plastic seats.
On the exterior, the installation of the red metallic cladding that will cover the entire perimeter of the stadium is progressing, aiming to completely renew its image and give it a more modern and homogeneous aesthetic.
The Xunta's 2027 budget project allocates 1.2 million euros to conclude this intervention, which has a total investment of over 3.6 million euros.
