The Narón City Council has completed pavement reinforcement works on Bernardo Romero avenue, the main road of the Río do Pozo industrial estate, improving access from Narón to the AG-64 junction.

The intervention, which cost 139,573.50 euros and was awarded to the company Lancer Proyectos y Obras, S.A., focused on reinforcing the most deteriorated areas and laying a new layer of asphalt over a 1,420-linear-meter stretch, covering approximately 10,815 square meters. Before asphalting, the old pavement was milled at the edges of each section, and the surface was cleaned to apply a primer coat ensuring adhesion between layers.
The works also included repainting the horizontal signage and adjusting the level of manholes and drains, enhancing the safety and functionality of the road, which has been heavily impacted by the constant traffic of heavy-duty trucks and the clayey, unstable nature of the ground.
This project is co-financed by the Consellería de Economía e Industria of the Xunta de Galicia and significantly improves the connection from Narón to the AG-64 highway, facilitating mobility and economic activity within the industrial estate.
