The agreement between the City Council and the autonomous body includes the establishment of a computerized classroom where exams organized by the Provincial Headquarters of A Coruña will be held, ensuring they are conducted under the same conditions as at the Traffic Headquarters' own facilities, using computer procedures and touch-screen terminals exclusively for the DGT.
The mayoress highlighted that "this agreement brings a service to the residents that we did not have in Narón until now and which is highly in demand. It will be possible to take the theory exam here with the same guarantees as at the Headquarters".
The City Council will be responsible for selecting and conditioning the premises within a maximum of 12 months, covering the costs of adaptation, furniture, computer equipment, maintenance, and security. The classroom must be accessible for people with reduced mobility, have adapted restrooms, air conditioning, and a wired Internet connection.
For its part, Traffic commits to conducting exams at least once a month, providing technical and IT advice, and communicating the schedule of calls in advance. Municipal staff will assist in organizing candidate access and preventing fraud.
The agreement has an initial duration of four years, extendable for another four, and its monitoring will be carried out by a joint commission.
