The Sport and Cultural Association Bombeiros Narón, with the support of the Narón City Council and the local fire department, concluded their participation in the competition with a very positive balance. The event, which took place from October 2nd to 11th, brought together nearly 3,000 professionals from 40 countries in Vigo.
The Narón representatives competed in various modalities, including vertical running, swimming, indoor rowing, orienteering, pentathlon, night running, athletics, and bowling, achieving podium finishes in both individual and team events.
Vertical running proved particularly fruitful, with Alexandre Blanco winning bronze in the team event, and Iago López and Luís García each earning two bronze medals. Iván Pérez also contributed medals in this discipline.
In swimming, Xavier Piñeiro took gold in the 1,500 meters freestyle. Meanwhile, Iván Pérez secured two silver medals in indoor rowing, and Luís García added a gold in middle-distance orienteering and a silver in pentathlon to his vertical running bronze medals.
The association highlighted that these results are the product of the continuous effort and preparation of professionals who balance their work with sports practice.
