Sanitation works on Moeche street in Cedeira have started, with an investment of €88,809, to address flooding problems and implement a separate sewage system.

The local government of Cedeira has announced the commencement of sanitation works on Moeche street, located in the urban center. This project, with an investment of €88,809, aims to eliminate the issues caused by the old pipelines in this area during heavy rainfall and advance the implementation of a separate water collection system in the municipality.
The project is funded by the Environmental Compensation Fund, due to the presence of wind turbines and other renewable energy installations within Cedeira's territory. Previously, Moeche street had a combined sewer system that collected both wastewater from buildings and rainwater, along with rainwater from perpendicular streets.
The intervention, with an execution period of two months, will involve installing a new sanitation system with separate collection for wastewater and rainwater. All rainwater downspouts that previously discharged directly onto the sidewalks will be connected. The road surfaces and sidewalks will also be replaced.
