The Ferrol Industrial Campus (CIF) of the Universidade da Coruña has launched a new grant call for affiliated researchers to facilitate the publication of their results in open-access journals.

This initiative aims to increase the visibility of researchers, the CIF, and the University of A Coruña, supporting the requirement to publish in open-access journals mandated by some project funding calls. It also contributes to the CIF's goal of increasing publications in Q1 JCR journals.
The grants will cover the payment, including taxes, of partial or total publication costs for articles published in first-quartile (Q1) journals from the latest JCR, prioritizing those in the first decile (D1). Funding is available for costs not yet paid or, exceptionally, for those already paid, provided the full cost was covered by a single payment and can be documented.
The maximum grant amount is €5,000. The specific amount for each grant will be determined by the evaluation committee based on the criteria outlined in the call and the number of applications received. Article publication dates must be between January 1, 2026, and October 28, 2026.
