The initiative, which combines adapted rowing with other territory-linked sports activities, now adds treadmills, indoor cycling bikes, an elliptical machine, a stair machine, and a leg press to its exercise room. This new equipment aims to complement rowing training, facilitate the continuity of physical activity during adverse weather conditions, and improve available resources for participants.
This investment is part of a broader project seeking to promote equal opportunities, social inclusion, cooperation between entities, and the enhancement of the maritime and natural heritage of the Ares estuary.
The action benefits from a granted subsidy of 10,815.64 euros, representing 70% of the eligible investment approved for the 2026 annual budget. The project is co-financed by the European Union through the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF) 2021-2027, within the framework of the Strategies for Local Participatory Development, with the participation of the Xunta de Galicia's Ministry of the Sea and the GALP Golfo Ártabro Norte.
This initiative highlights the contribution to the sustainable development of coastal communities and the social well-being of the population.
