The municipal program A Laracha Conecta began this week with visits to agricultural, livestock, and other businesses to introduce students to the local job market and professional opportunities.

The A Laracha Conecta program has started its visits to agricultural, livestock, and other businesses in the municipality, aiming to bring students closer to the reality of local production sectors and the professional opportunities they offer.
The first activity took place on Monday at Horta Ramisquido, where sixth-grade Primary students from CEIP Otero Pedrayo learned about the work at this farm in the parish of Coiro. On Tuesday, students from the Basic Vocational Training (FP) Grade in Cooking and Restoration from Carballo visited Panadería Suso to learn about their processes.
This Thursday, students from CEIP de Caión will visit Gandería Montemaior to learn about the operation of a livestock farm and the daily work it requires.
During the visits, professionals responsible for the farms and businesses, along with educational staff, explain work processes, necessary skills, and professional development possibilities in key areas for the local economy.
Next week, A Laracha Conecta will focus on the industrial sector and trades. On Monday the 26th, students from the Basic FP Grade in Hairdressing and Aesthetics will visit Peluquería J. Vázquez. Visits to the facilities of Unifersa, in the business park, will take place on October 26th, 28th, and 30th, involving ESO students from IES Agra de Leborís and students from the Higher FP Grade in Transport and Logistics.
The primary sector will also continue with visits to Hortalizas Añón Pardiñas, in Erboedo, on October 27th and 29th.
These actions are part of the three pillars of A Laracha Conecta: primary sector, industry and trades, and tourism and sport. The program aims to foster mutual understanding between companies and students, contribute to the academic and career guidance of young people, and raise awareness of the diversity of economic activities in the municipality.
The program will conclude in November with three open encounters for the public. The initiative is carried out in collaboration with the Deputación da Coruña.
