The Minister of the Sea, Marta Villaverde, visited this Saturday the port of Morás, in Xove, to detail the shelter improvement project, which includes the construction of a new breakwater.

The head of the Ministry of the Sea, accompanied by the president of Portos de Galicia, Natalia Botana, and the mayor of Xove, Demetrio Salgueiro, explained the processing times for the tender of the work. Villaverde confirmed that this action is one of the eleven port works included in the budgets of the Xunta de Galicia for A Mariña lucense in 2027.
The technical project includes the construction of a 224-meter breakwater in front of the fishing port. The objective is twofold: to reinforce the shelter conditions to improve the safety of the moored fishing fleet and the anchored recreational vessels, and to expand the sheltered water surface, which opens the door to the future expansion of port facilities.
