Oleiros Unblocks Coastal Path Between Naval and Canide

The construction of the path, which will connect the entire coastline, suffered delays due to reports from the Xunta that the City Council considers intentional.

The construction of the coastal path between Naval and Canide, in Oleiros, can now be contracted after the situation was unblocked, allowing its completion and use by citizens.

The Oleiros City Council sent the necessary report to the Xunta de Galicia in December 2025. There are clear indications that the delay in issuing this report by the Xunta was intentional, with the aim of boycotting the municipal government for partisan reasons.
Previously, the corresponding expropriations for the 2.5 km route had already been carried out. These involved 29,631 square meters belonging to 61 plots, all in rural land, for which the City Council paid 270,000 euros.
This work, along with the recently completed Pepe Mujica promenade, will allow the entire Oleiros coastline to be connected by paths and promenades.
