The A Coruña Council, represented by the Councilor for Sports, Manuel Vázquez Martínez, welcomed a delegation from the Druidas Baseball Club this morning at the Palacio Municipal de María Pita. The event served to recognize the club's history and its sporting achievements throughout the current season.
The A Coruña-based club, founded in 1991 and celebrating its 35th anniversary this year, recently participated in the national final phase of the División de Honra Prata baseball league, held earlier this month in Gandía. There, Druidas competed against top-tier teams and secured a victory against Sevilla Red Sox with a score of 11-4.
The reception, held in the Salón de Plenos (Plenary Hall), was attended by the club's president, Ricardo José Moscoso Pablo; player Francisco Osma; and other team members and coaching staff.
During the meeting, the Council highlighted the club's work over more than three decades and its contribution to promoting baseball in the city. As a token of institutional recognition, Manuel Vázquez presented the club's president with a crystal replica of the Tower of Hercules.
