The exhibition, organized by the Fundación Escola Universitaria de Relacións Laborais da Coruña with the collaboration of the City Council, traces the evolution of labor relations from the late 19th century to the present day, with special attention to its impact in A Coruña and the role of institutions in improving labor conditions and social dialogue.
Councilor Gonzalo Castro highlighted the importance of initiatives that disseminate the city's social history and value knowledge. "This exhibition allows us to better understand the evolution of labor rights and recognize the work of generations of professionals and entities that have contributed to building a more just and advanced society. A Coruña has a solid tradition linked to labor relations and university training in this field, a heritage that must be preserved and disseminated," he stated.
The exhibition dedicates a space to the Escola Universitaria de Relacións Laborais da Coruña, the Official College of Social Graduates of A Coruña and Ourense, and the Association of University Centers of Labor Relations and Labor Sciences (ARELCIT).
Current and future challenges related to digitalization and artificial intelligence are also addressed, concluding with the presentation of EUHRIC, the European R&D Center for Human Resources, Labor Relations, and Welfare.
Also participating in the event were Demetrio Fernández López, vice-president of the Board of Trustees of the Fundación Escola de Relacións Laborais da Coruña; Jesús Vázquez Forno, director of the Foundation; Purificación Morgado, president of ARELCIT; and José Lage Cerviño, president of the Official College of Social Graduates of A Coruña and Ourense.
