The Director General of Family, Childhood and Demographic Dynamics, Jacobo Rey, attended this morning the event "30 years, 30 stories", organized by the Fundación Meniños to commemorate its three decades of existence. During the event, he highlighted the entity's importance in protecting Galician children and adolescents.
Rey described the Fundación Meniños as a fundamental ally of the regional protection system. He emphasized that the entity manages programs of great sensitivity and complexity, ranging from perinatal care to psychological, social, and educational support for minors.
The Director General also pointed out that the main current challenge is to raise societal awareness about the existence of problems and complexities in childhood. Furthermore, he stressed the need for society as a whole to actively engage in addressing these challenges.
