Following its first edition in 2025, CoruñART is consolidating itself as a meeting project between creation, cultural management, and audiences. The program will include representation from cinema, theater, music, photography, visual arts, literature, and illustration.
The Councilor for Culture and Tourism, Gonzalo Castro, highlighted the importance of continuing projects that strengthen the A Coruña cultural ecosystem, stating that "a city does not build a strong cultural ecosystem just by hosting many events. It builds it when it gives continuity to projects, cares for its professionals, and opens spaces for citizen encounters".
Castro also emphasized that culture is a citizen's right and a set of creative sectors that need networks and opportunities. He highlighted the role of cultural management as a tool to connect talent and foster collaborations.
Under the slogan "Open Encounter with Culture," the November 7th event will feature stands in the main hall and round tables, lectures, and training activities in the classrooms. Professional encounters in speed-dating format, musical showcases, and an open mic space for literature are also planned.
As a new feature, CoruñART will collaborate with the Academia Galega do Audiovisual. Between November 5th and 7th, the four finalist feature films from the latest Mestre Mateo Awards will be screened at the Fórum. The Escola de Imaxe e Son will also participate by exhibiting audiovisual works.
The event also includes a specific family reconciliation space to enhance participation and accessibility.
Registration for professionals and stand applications will be free and will open on October 15th. All updated information will be available on the official CoruñART channels.
