The jury for the second edition of the “Luis Seoane” design award, organized by the Deputación da Coruña, decided by majority to grant the award to the initiative Centilitrosmetrocadrado Sociedade Cooperativa Galega. The decision was presided over by the Deputy of Culture, Natividade González.
After an intense deliberation, the expert committee, which included Rosario Froján Resua, Alberto Carballido Salcedo, María Celsa Pesqueira Sánchez, Uqui Permui Martínez, and Alberto Montiel Rodríguez, recognized the project for being a "clear benchmark of multidisciplinary design".
The verdict emphasizes that Centilitrosmetrocadrado "highlights the research process in the discipline of design, professional solidity, innovation, and its extensive trajectory in contemporary design, particularly in product design, as well as the interpretation of territorial visual codes reflected in its work".
Centilitrosmetrocadrado, a design and communication studio located in Milladoiro, merges artisanal and industrial production with a humanistic and sustainable approach. Founded by Ricardo Tubío and Xabier Rilo, the studio has two decades of experience and is a benchmark in product design, graphic identity, and interior design, reinterpreting Atlantic culture.
This recognition follows that of the first edition, won by the fashion firm D-due, directed by Charo Froján and Alfredo Olmedo.
Natividade González congratulated the winning project, emphasizing "its capacity to give a national identity to all its projects, representing excellence in design and projecting our image and way of seeing the world beyond our borders".
