The Soutomaior City Council enhances its cleaning services by launching a free home collection service for pruning waste, offering residents the use of cost-free 'bigbags'.

The City Council of Soutomaior continues its Conscientes campaign by improving municipal cleaning and waste management services. It now offers residents a free home collection service for pruning waste.
To facilitate the use of this service, residents can collect a free 'bigbag', intended for depositing plant waste, at the A Montesiña Waste Collection Point or at the Soutomaior City Council offices. There, they will receive information on how the service works and the necessary steps to request its subsequent home collection.
Once the 'bigbag' is prepared, to request the waste collection, it is necessary to contact Urbaser at the phone number 986 67 80 46. The company will provide information on how to coordinate the pickup.
The mayor of Soutomaior, Manu Lourenzo, highlighted that the City Council works to provide residents with tools to properly manage household waste, improving the cleanliness and care of public spaces. He noted that sustainability is also built through small daily gestures and that these services facilitate the appropriate treatment of pruning waste, preventing it from ending up in unsuitable locations.
This initiative complements other municipal actions to improve waste management, promote separation and recycling, and move towards a cleaner and more environmentally friendly Soutomaior. The City Council reminds residents of the importance of not disposing of pruning waste in conventional bins or abandoning it in public spaces, encouraging them to use the available municipal resources.
