The Soutomaior City Council is launching a new free service for the proper management of construction waste from small home renovations.

The initiative, part of the municipal campaign ‘Conscientes. Medra en verde’ (Conscious. Grow in green), is aimed at private individuals registered in the municipality and will allow the delivery of up to five bags of debris at the A Montesiña Waste Disposal Point.
To use this service, it is necessary to contact Urbaser beforehand at 986 67 80 46, Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM. Once the communication is made, residents can bring the waste for proper disposal.
The mayor, Manu Lourenzo, highlighted the importance of offering practical solutions to protect the environment and move towards a cleaner and more sustainable Soutomaior, preventing the uncontrolled dumping of these materials.
This measure is specifically designed for small domestic renovations and does not include waste from larger construction projects, which must be managed by authorized companies.
