The Mayor of Mos, Nidia Arévalo Gómez, met yesterday with representatives of the Federation of Rondallas of the Metropolitan Area to plan the season and analyze collaboration avenues.

The Mayor of Mos, Nidia Arévalo Gómez, held a meeting yesterday with Serafín Rodríguez, president of the Federation of Rondallas of the Metropolitan Area, and Serafín Castro, a member of the board, with the aim of planning the season of activities and exploring collaboration avenues between the City Council and the entity.
During the meeting, crucial aspects such as the organization of activities, coordination between the different musical groups and local administrations, as well as the specific needs of the collective, were discussed. The Federation of Rondallas of the Metropolitan Area currently brings together a total of 18 groups, of which four are located in the municipality of Mos: the Rondalla Santa Eulalia de Mos, the Rondalla de Torroso, the Rondalla de Herville, and the Rondalla de Guizán. Added to these is the recently created Rondalla de Pereiras, which strengthens the presence and continuity of this musical tradition in the locality.
Another of the points discussed was the Certame de Rondallas do Ifevi, an event organized by the Federation that requires close coordination among all participating entities and a significant deployment of technical, human, and economic resources for its proper execution.
The Mos City Council also actively promotes the rondalla tradition through the Rondallas Fest, its own cultural initiative held at the Pazo de Mos. This festival, which originated from the filming of the movie “Rondallas” by Daniel Sánchez Arévalo, has the primary goal of increasing the visibility of the municipality's valuable musical heritage.
This meeting is part of the ongoing collaboration strategy between the Federation and the metropolitan area's city councils, aiming to prepare the upcoming season, offer support to existing groups, and contribute significantly to the continuity and promotion of this important cultural tradition.
