The Xunta de Galicia is organizing a conference on artificial intelligence applied to commerce on October 27th at Expourense, as part of the cross-border project Digital_Expo.

The session, held at Expourense, will focus on the opportunities offered by artificial intelligence (AI) for task automation, management optimization, and sales process improvement in commercial establishments. This initiative is part of the cross-border project Digital_Expo, led by the Xunta and also involving Expourense, the Universidade de Vigo, and the municipal councils of Viana do Castelo, Ponte de Lima, and Arcos de Valdevez.
The conference will feature practical cases and real-world experiences. Speakers include Raúl García Serapio (Neuromobile) on data and AI use in managing commercial venues and for small businesses; Jesús Fernández and Francisco Míguez (Hambrosía) on automating management tasks in small establishments; and José Alcañiz (Esterea Comunicación Digital) on improving sales processes with these tools.
Registration is open with a limit of 50 places via a provided link. The Digital_Expo project, co-financed by the European Union, aims to advance the digitalization of trade fair venues and exhibition centers in Galicia and northern Portugal until December 2027, with a budget exceeding €1 million.
Additionally, in the afternoon, Expourense will host the Gala dos Premios do Comercio Galego 2026 (Galician Commerce Awards 2026). The winning projects will be announced from 15 finalists across five categories: Premio Comercio Galego (€5,000), Premio Comercio Dinamización (€5,000), Premio Comercio Traxectoria (€3,000), Premio Comercio Emprende (€3,000), and Premio Comercio Sostible (€3,000).
