The Minister of Rural Affairs, María José Gómez, visited the facilities of the company Entrepinares in Vilalba today, highlighting its fundamental role in the Galician economy. The company collects over 250,000 million liters of milk in the community, representing nearly 10% of the total production, making it one of the main buyers in the sector.
Gómez pointed out that a strong and innovative dairy industry, linked to livestock farms, is crucial for the future of rural Galicia. Processing milk within the community, according to the minister, “allows for the generation of more added value and opportunities for companies to continue growing in the territory”.
The head of Rural Affairs praised Entrepinares' “close relationship with the producer sector”, which fosters customer loyalty and contributes to the stability of local livestock farms, thereby ensuring the sustainability of the dairy value chain.
The company, recognized for its commitment to quality and innovation, has received aid from the Ministry to launch a new Cottage cheese factory and incorporate new industrial equipment. This high-demand fresh cheese will allow for production diversification and enhance the company's market competitiveness.
This expansion, focused on transforming milk into a popular product, represents a commitment to wealth generation, maintaining industrial employment, and valuing milk produced in Galicia, reaffirming Vilalba's role as a key center for dairy processing at the state level.
