The Conselleira of Social Policy and Equality, Ángeles Vázquez, held a meeting this morning with the board of the Plataforma de Organizacións de Infancia en Galicia (POIG), an entity that brings together the main organizations working in the field of childhood and adolescence in the autonomous community.
During the meeting, which also included Victorino Escamilla, vice-president; Julio Barreiro, general secretary; Xesús Vilas, treasurer; and Inés Salteiro, director of POIG, the conselleira highlighted the shared objective between the Xunta and the platform: to guarantee the protection, well-being, and integral development of all Galician children and adolescents.
In this regard, Ángeles Vázquez expressed the regional government's firm commitment to continue collaborating closely with organizations dedicated to defending children's rights. The conselleira also took the opportunity to thank them for their tireless work on a daily basis.
