The Network of Singular Research Centers at the University of Santiago de Compostela (USC) celebrates its tenth anniversary with the open house event Ciencia Singular, which brings the institution's scientific work to the public.

The initiative Ciencia Singular, now a decade old since its inception in 2017, offers the public the chance to learn firsthand about the work carried out by hundreds of researchers at the USC. It covers fields such as chemistry, intelligent technologies, molecular medicine, particle physics, and environmental technologies, highlighting the practical application of scientific knowledge.
Through interactive workshops, experiments, guided tours, and educational talks aimed at individuals over 6 years old, Ciencia Singular aims to convey the importance of the research conducted in these reference centers, foster interest in science, and inspire scientific vocations from an early age.
Participating centers include the Singular Research Center in Molecular Medicine and Chronic Diseases (CiMUS), the Singular Research Center in Chemical Biology and Molecular Materials (CiQUS), the Singular Research Center in Intelligent Technologies (CiTIUS), the Interdisciplinary Research Center in Environmental Technologies (CRETUS), and the Galician Institute of High Energy Physics (IGFAE). These centers are part of the CIGUS Network, supported by the European Union (Feder Galicia 2021-2027).
Registration will open on Thursday, October 15, at 4:00 PM. From 12:00 PM on the same day, interested individuals can access the form to pre-fill their details, but must wait until the official opening of registration to submit it. The full program of activities and schedules is available on the Ciencia Singular website.
