The event brought together primary care health professionals, municipal exercise promoters, and community health staff to analyze the current status of the Physical Exercise Prescription Program, evaluate achieved results, and identify improvement opportunities.
The Deputy Director General of Healthy Lifestyles, Sagrario Pérez Castellanos, thanked the professionals' involvement and highlighted the conference's importance in improving the identification of patients who can benefit from exercise prescription.
A summary of satisfaction surveys conducted among professionals was presented, assessing training, the Adestra technological platform, appointment management, and coordination between health centers and local entities. Successful experiences in patient recruitment and adherence strategies were also discussed.
A participatory session debated four key areas: identification and referral of participants, support and data recording tools (Ianus and Adestra systems), coordination between health and sports professionals, and future monitoring, adherence, and innovation proposals.
All conclusions will be integrated into an official working document to guide future actions and improvements of the 'Adestra a túa saúde' physical exercise prescription program throughout Galicia.
