The Xunta delegate in Ourense, Manuel Pardo, visited this morning in the city of Ourense the premises of the O Couto Neighborhood Association to oversee the improvement works carried out with funds from the Community Action Plan of the Ministry of Presidency, Justice and Sports, in the 2025 call.
Manuel Pardo specified that the neighborhood association received funding to optimize the premises' accessibility and implement improvements in energy efficiency and safety, directly benefiting its users.
The representative of the Galician government recalled that in the resolution of this year's order, 90 Ourense neighborhood associations were beneficiaries, requesting support for 111 projects (67 works and 44 equipment), to support their local development work.
He detailed that at the O Couto Neighborhood Association, actions included replacing bathroom doors to improve accessibility and installing an aluminum window for energy efficiency. The ceiling was also repaired, a synthetic wood floor was installed, and LED lighting was placed.
The plan also promotes the rehabilitation of social premises and the acquisition of equipment, as well as the improvement of neighborhood water supply systems for water user communities.
