The Xunta de Galicia has proposed awarding the construction works for the Ourense Eastern Ring Road, between Bemposta and the N-525 road, to the UTE Extraco SA-Misturas Obras e Proxectos SA for €11.7 million.

The new road, measuring 1.5 kilometers in length, will run through the municipalities of Ourense and San Cibrao das Viñas. The roadway will connect the OU-105 road in Bemposta with the N-525, completing the southern bypass of the city and linking to the A-52 motorway.
The section, which will begin at the roundabout where the OU-105 and OU-510 roads converge in Bemposta, will end at the new connection roundabout with the N-525 and the A-52. It will feature two lanes per direction, each 3.5 meters wide, and 1.50-meter shoulders, with an additional lane in steeper sections.
The construction includes various structures, such as a viaduct over the Río Barbaña, an underpass at the crossing with the existing ADIF line, and an overpass providing access to the EDAR San Cibrao wastewater treatment plant.
Additionally, the access to the roundabout from or towards the N-525/OU-525 will be redefined through two ramps: a southern ramp from the OU-525 road and a northern ramp connecting to the additional lane for entering Expourense.
