The Xunta de Galicia, through the Ministry of Presidency, Justice, and Sports, will support with nearly 50,000 euros the improvement of a municipal road connecting the parishes of San Román de Pasarelos (Oroso) and Fontelo (Frades). The total investment amounts to approximately 100,000 euros.
The project, jointly promoted by the municipalities of Oroso and Frades, will focus on renewing the road surface in two sections of nearly 2 kilometers. The works include pothole repair, application of a bituminous mix, ditch cleaning, and renewal of horizontal signage.
Belén do Campo highlighted the importance of these interventions for improving rural infrastructure, enhancing safety, and contributing to the quality of life of the population, especially the elderly.
This public use infrastructure order, aimed at municipalities with fewer than 30,000 inhabitants, has a budget of 3.5 million euros and finances up to 80% of the works' budget, with a limit of 50,000 euros for joint projects.
“"Collaboration between both local administrations is fundamental to respond to common needs and promote actions that directly impact the well-being of citizens."
The improvement of municipal roads facilitates daily travel, promotes connection between parishes, and increases road safety in rural areas.
