The Provincial Council of A Coruña is celebrating the III Culturgal Expandido in Muros, turning the town into "the cultural epicenter of the region" this weekend. The Municipal Market will be the venue for a free program designed for all ages, aiming to reflect "the cultural energy of Muros".
At the event's presentation, the Provincial Council's Culture Deputy, Natividade González, stated that this initiative is "a commitment and a bet to extend Culturgal to medium-sized towns," an initiative she is pleased to see hosted in Muros this year.
The mayor of Muros, María Lago, highlighted the positive reception from residents to the annual cultural programming and thanked the Provincial Council for choosing Muros for this edition, asserting that "we will once again be the cultural epicenter of the region this week".
Caridad González, the Councilor for Culture, added that the town council is committed to culture and that Muros possesses a "strong cultural fabric," expressing confidence in the success of the Culturgal Expandido in Muros.
The director of Culturgal, Camilo Franco, explained that the decentralization of the event responds to the "cultural energy" of towns like Muros and invited residents to enjoy the prepared program.
The program includes activities for all ages, featuring local artists and creators such as the group Lisdexia and the writer Samuel L. París. Activities begin on Friday the 16th with theatrical author Candido Pazó, followed by the recital 'Todos poetas menos o capitán' by Samuel L. París and the poetic concert 'Cinta adhesiva' by Silvia Pena and Jesús Andrade.
Saturday morning will feature children's programming with 'O Lobo Feliz' by Miguel Guido and 'Menú de Contos' by Charo Pita.
