The Lugo Local Government Board approved the granting of a license to build 16 homes in the vicinity of Agro do Rolo Square, as well as advancing the creation of the Council for the Elderly and the approval of staff for the Municipal Band and Music School.

In urban planning matters, a license was granted for the construction of a building with 16 homes on a plot facing Eloi Maquieira Arquitecto and Anselmo Sampedro Ania streets (Agro do Rolo Square area). The project, with an investment of 1.3 million euros, also includes 16 garage spaces, 16 storage rooms, and a commercial unit, with an estimated execution period of 36 months. The development will generate municipal income from fees and taxes amounting to 52,252.05 euros.
The payment of 5,854.81 euros for the necessary expropriations to execute the Partial Plan of sector SUD S-16.R was also approved. This area includes a general system of open spaces covering 9,774 square meters. The amounts corresponding to the expropriations were previously allocated by the Compensation Board.
Another agreement involved commissioning the municipal company EVISLUSA to draft the technical project and provide site management for the conservation, restoration, and rehabilitation works of the municipal building located in Praza do Castiñeiro, at the intersection of Lamas de Prado and Juana la Loca streets. This facility is currently underutilized, suffers from dampness, and its computer equipment is deteriorated. The commission amounts to 11,270 euros, with a one-month deadline for project development.
The paving work for the HULA parking lot was also awarded for a budget of 272,000 euros, aiming for a surface intervention that reduces maintenance needs.
Regarding citizen participation, progress is being made in the establishment of the Sectoral Council for the Elderly with the designation of its members. This body will channel initiatives and proposals related to the well-being and social participation of this demographic, which the government team considers vital for the city.
Furthermore, the Council's adhesion to the Galician Language Dynamization Network of the Xunta de Galicia was agreed upon to promote the use of the Galician language, without incurring new expenses.
In terms of personnel, the City Council's staffing plan for the Music School and the Municipal Band was approved, creating 16 positions for musician-instrumentalist-teachers in sub-group C1. This agreement will enable the recovery of both services with an adapted staffing structure.
