The Diputación of A Coruña and the CMAT met to analyze the current state of the Megalithic Park, a key project for the tourism and cultural development of the Costa da Morte.
The Diputación of A Coruña held a meeting with the CMAT (tourism association of the Costa da Morte) to analyze the status of the Megalithic Park. The meeting was attended by the Deputy of Heritage, Xosé Penas; the President of the Park and Mayor of A Laracha, José Manuel López Varela; and the councilwoman of Dumbría and CMAT board member, María Lema Santabaya.
The project's progress was discussed, including expropriations already signed with Estudo Técnico Galego and signage initiatives that will facilitate the identification of heritage and future visitor organization.
“
"The launch of visits and the execution of the project will allow us to enhance the territory's important megalithic legacy, improve its dissemination, and contribute to creating a tourism offering linked to history, culture, and local identity."
“
"The park thus represents an opportunity to strengthen the appeal of the Costa da Morte as a tourist destination, diversify the resources it offers visitors, and promote the revitalization of the involved municipalities, highlighting a unique and shared heritage."
Both entities highlighted the "close and fluid collaboration" as "fundamental" for the project's success, emphasizing that cooperation between administrations and the local tourism sector is key to promoting the region's resources and ensuring the positive impact of the Megalithic Park.
